Magic Carpet (Aladdin)

Magic Carpet is a character from the 1992 film Disney's Aladdin as well as the animated series of the same name. The film's version was created using CGI, while the animated series version was hand-drawn. As his moniker implies, he is an ancient carpet that was found by Aladdin in the Cave of Wonders inside the treasure room. He is also a friend of Genie, as they apparently knew each other upon his release from the lamp, with Genie stating that he hadn't seen Carpet "in a few Millennia". He was first discovered by Abu, who assumed he was going crazy due to Carpet's constant attempts to act playful and suddenly appear as a normal inanimate object. He assisted Aladdin and Abu in escaping the cave during the meltdown sequence triggered by Abu touching a forbidden gem. A major running gag is when Carpet repetitively beats Genie at nearly every game they play, much to Genie's distress. He plays a massive part in the film as well as the series itself as the main mode of transportation for all the characters that are unable to fly themselves, excluding Genie and Iago.
Carpet's origin as well as how he was given life is unknown, but it is assumed that he was created by whatever force created the Cave of Wonders. He is the only character without a voice, and expresses himself through pantomime and movements. Judging from the film and series, Carpet is a very cheerful character, always ready for a challenge of any kind. However, he can sometimes be a little too cocky for his own good, and end up in more trouble due to his overconfidence in his own abilities at times. Despite this, he has been shown to be rather intelligent; on one occasion, having briefly left the group after they encountered a group of sprites that allowed them to fly- thus apparently rendering Carpet pointless-, when the Sprites, angered at the group's desire to return home, attempted to crash the now-airborn palace into Agrubah, Carpet managed to trick the sprites into chasing him, subsequently flying around the castle in a manner that caused the sprites' levitation powers to lower the castle gently into its proper place.

Carpet's personality (if indeed it can be called that) is that of a playful child; extremely friendly and adventurous. Despite this, he also appears to be somewhat sensitive as evidenced in the first film whereas carpet tried to return Abu's fez to him after playfulling toying with him in which case Abu chewed him out; this apparently hurt his feelings and he began to curl up and slink away. When the rest of the group were granted the ability to fly by sprites, Carpet also showed dejection as he no longer appeared to be needed any more, only to subsequently appear embarrassed when he was treated to a brief 'award ceremony' for saving their lives.
