[edit] Tennis career
Early on in 2000 and 2001, Zovko reached the Umag final both years with Ivan Ljubičić.
In 2007, Lovro made the doubles finals of the Kremlin Cup (Moscow) event with Tomas Cibulec before losing to Marat Safin and Dmitry Tursunov in the final, 6–4, 6–2. En route, Cibulek and Zovko defeated second-seeded Lukáš Dlouhý and Pavel Vízner, the 2007 French Open and 2007 U.S. Open finalists in the quarterfinals 6–2, 6–2. Zovko then reached the 2007 Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon doubles final with Łukasz Kubot. The team beat second seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in the semifinals 7–6 (4), 4–6, [10-5]. However, the duo was halted by French wildcards Sebastian Grosjean and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final, 6–4, 6–3. This also means that Zovko has reached two consecutive ATP doubles finals.
