Lovelandtown Bridge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Lovelandtown Bridge is a bridge that spans the Point Pleasant Canal in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. The section of Bridge Avenue that runs over it is also known as Route 13.
The original bridge was constructed in 1927 as a swing bridge to span the newly finished Point Pleasant Canal, which connects the Manasquan Inlet with the Barnegat Bay. It was rebuilt once after a storm in 1962 and replaced permanently by a lift bridge in 1972.
