[edit] Blatant Vandal

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. Cbrown1023 22:26, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] April 2007

This is your only warning. The next time you delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Back to Basics re-release (Christina Aguilera album), you will be blocked from editing. Ward3001 01:08, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Back to Basics re-release (Christina Aguilera album)

There are standards and guidelines in Wikipedia for deleting articles. No one owns an article, and no one can arbitrarily appoint himself to delete an article. If you continue to blank this page or substantial parts of it, you will be blocked from editing. Additionally, do not delete warning messages on your Talk page. Now that you have been informed about these policies and procedures, this is you last warning. And finally, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. Thank you. Ward3001 19:37, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

You can nominate an article for deletion if you feel that it is entirely inaccurate or is not encyclopedic. But you have to state your reasons and give others an opportunity to comment. Ward3001 19:56, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Back to Basics re-release (Christina Aguilera album)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Back to Basics re-release (Christina Aguilera album), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] RE: I just have a question...

The only ways to legally post pictures are to get permission from the copyright holder, or if the picture falls under "fair use". "Fair use" is complicated, and it requires some knowledge to be able to develop a fair use rationale for using a copyrighted photo. Details about fair use can be found at WP:NFC. Generally, if you want to add a photo of a living person to a biography page, fair use does not apply because there is a potentially free photo always available for a living person. So the only way to legally add such a photo is if you own it or get permission from the owner. You can't simply copy a photo from a website and put it in an article. There are Wikipedia pages where this has been done, but it is a violation of Wikipedia policy, and eventually most of those photos will be deleted. But don't do it just because you see others do it.
