Los Angeles Lakers seasons

This is a list of seasons completed by the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. The Laker franchise began its existence as the Detroit Gems basketball team of the National Basketball League (NBL). In 1947, the franchise was relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before the 1960–1961 NBA season, the Lakers moved to Los Angeles, California becoming the NBA's first west coast team.
