[edit] Nov. 20th, 2006 edit

I know that this page is up for a major edit. I went ahead and provided some additional names, relevant background information, and a few links. I hope that some of the information I provided will end up on the final cut. Jamie Guinn 03:14, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed cleanup in future.

After reading the external links policy, I don't think the EL I added to the controversial leaders is appropriate to stay. As soon as I create new articles on these people I will clean them out and quote the relevant content from each source. Jamie Guinn 02:28, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup needed.

Wikipedia lists are supposed to be navigational aids within Wikipedia. There should be a bluelink for nearly every individual. If there are no articles, and unlikely to be articles, then they really should not be listed, and redlink plus weblink always looks like an end-run around inclusion guidelines. [edit] CTOMC

I don;t think we need their fight here. I also blocked two single-purpose accounts responsible for the complaint above. Guy (Help!) 20:41, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] CTOMC 1

I was told to write this in this discussion per the St. Petersburg Wikipedia office. This is why I contacted the office as to how to handle it. I also sent an email regarding the matter. If keeping any reference to CTOMC on wikipedia off here for a season would help, then that would be fine, I did ask that from the St. Petersburg office, I was told no, just edit it again, add the statement I did to this dicussion and email the issues and it will be handled since we are the corporation. I am all for not having any reference, just to keep peace. So please do what you can, we appreciate it greatly. CTOMC CTOMC Staff CTOMC

[edit] Changes

I have changed the context to fit the title and added some Rastafari movement messianic leaders, the 3 significant ones. On this basis I have removed Jimbo's delete tag, SqueakBox 16:50, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

This is not an article about Jewish articles, SqueakBox 22:25, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Messianic

Shouldn't "Messianic" in the title be captialized? I would think that it is a proper noun. From a quick check of Google results [4], everything in the first five pages capitalizes it. Our own Messianic Judaism capitalizes almost every occurance. --BigDT 04:58, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Proper Description

Is it a proper Meshach that we're considering here writers on Messianic cults or what? If so explicit statement of what qualifies for the list would be appropriate. For the general context of living figures associated with a Messianic cult, without giving a precising definition of same, this list would hardly be comprehensive nor would all of those currently listed fit. Common English usage extends the term to anyone who claims divinely inspired/ordained leadership, not necessarily limited to the Abrahamic cults but any religious tradition whatsoever, Mahdi, Maitreya, etc. etc. Lycurgus 04:56, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
