Should we get a standardized format going? I liked how some of the entries went:

[edit] Dormancy
The ΛΧΑ national website does not list some of these chapters, thus I believe they are dormant. How should we deal with dormant chapters? I think we should include them in some form, but this needs to be indicated somehow. For now, I think I will mark them with an asterisk or something, with a note at the bottom of the page. --Xyzzyva 04:39, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't believe they're dormant. IHQ's website has not been really updated for some time in many areas, so it's probable that these are new zetas that the website hasn't recorded. Though I venture to guess that when the new Website is unveiled for True Brother, it'll have all the updates (along with some new fancy bells and wistles). Albert109 04:46, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
When you mentioned the Paed, I looked in the back and voila! there is a listing ove each zeta alphabetically listed by school... Those things you forget... But when I saw you marking each dormant chapter (as listed by the Paed), I started doing the same, looking at each zeta, going from Alpha zeta to Psi Zeta (cause some might not even be listed here). I believe the St. Leo colony in Florida is dormant and has been so for a while. Also I believe Univ. of South Florida, Lambda Mu, is still suspended.
I'm going to try to find some updates as to why chapters are suspended or dormant and cite to an article. USF and UNF are the first to that come to mind along with Rutgers.Airpear 19:44, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Up to Date
I have updated all the university links to the wikipedia pages they should link to. There may be some that are off that I didn't check, but if it didn't have a link i added one. Also I added a dormant tag to any chapter that isn't listed on lambdachi.org. We can go back and update if any are wrong, but I believe they still edit this page. All we need to do now is verify dormancy/suspension, add reasons, and add chapter websites.Airpear 14:38, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Terminology
I think I can settle the dormant/suspended/inactive/etc. In stead of dormant, I believe inactive is the correct term for a chapter that is under a long term closure. I think we should keep suspended for chapters that are on a short term suspension for specific reasons, i.e. USF, or UNF, that will probably return.Airpear 23:58, 5 September 2007 (UTC) Under Cal State-Fullerton the C&C describes them as "Under inactive status, the chapter is closed and no member can represent the organization, or conduct events in the name of Lambda Chi Alpha."
