List of biological CPUs
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a fictional list of biological CPUs from the Gundam SEED anime series.
Shani Andras, Clotho Buer, and Orga Sabnak, are the three "biological CPUs"[1] assigned to operate the Earth Alliance's new mobile suits. Their personal data has been erased from the military records. Before they enter into battle, they take a special performance-enhancing drug known as Gamma Glipheptin;[2] if they go without this drug for extended periods, they suffer from extreme withdrawal symptoms.

Shani Andras (シャニ・アンドラス Shani Andorasu?) pilots the GAT-X252 Forbidden. The antisocial Shani prefers to fight alone without his teammates interfering, and between missions he puts on his headphones and blocks out the outside world by listening to music, preferably rock and techno. Shani's hair, which usually covers the left side of his face, conceals the fact that his eyes are different colors. [4]
Shani may be the most mentally unstable of the three Extendeds, as he constantly fires on opponents despite orders to retreat; he even attacks his own teammates in the process. Shani does not state Orga or Clotho's names. In addition, he does not state "I" or "me". He is also shown to be sociopathic and sadistic, desiring to see PLANTs destroyed so he could "see all the pretty lights".
Shani is the first one to die among the three. Shani is killed by Yzak Joule during the Second Battle of Jachin Due, when his GAT-X252 Forbidden is destroyed by Yzak's GAT-X102 Duel Gundam.

Clotho Buer (クロト・ブエル Kuroto Bueru?) is a talkative and quarrelsome person who is constantly arguing with his teammates. He likes to shout out video game-inspired battle cries as he fights in his GAT-X370 Raider. Between missions he spends his time playing on a portable game system called the "Great Wonder Swan XXX (unknown number)." The WonderSwan is an actual Japanese portable game system, produced by Sunrise's parent company Bandai.
Depending on the version of Gundam SEED seen, Clotho is killed during the Second Battle of Jachin Due either by Yzak Joule in the GAT-X102 Duel using the Buster's rifle (original Gundam SEED), or by Dearka Elsman in the GAT-X103 Buster (Gundam SEED: Special Edition). According to the PlayStation 2 game, Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow, Clotho is not killed by Dearka Elsman or Yzak Joule, but dies due to his nervous system failing.
In Gundam SEED Destiny, during ZAFT forces investigation of the Extended laboratory at Lodonia, Talia Gladys discovers Clotho's record in the base's files. Clotho also appears in a flashback during the late Rau Le Creuset monologue to Gilbert Durandal (though the scene used is taken from the scenario in which Clotho was killed by Yzak Joule)

Mobile weapons | GAT-X131 Calamity [GS] |
Orga Sabnak (オルガ・サブナック Oruga Sabunakku?) uses tactics that are reckless and aggressive, and unlike the others in his trio, he tends to provide help for his teammates in battle, although he often comes close to hitting his teammates with the heavy armament of his mobile suit, the GAT-X131 Calamity. He is also the only member of the team to care about the welfare of the other two. When Shani is killed, he screams out his teammate's name, and tries to attack Yzak, his killer. Between missions, he usually passes the time reading paperback novels.
Unlike Clotho and Shani, who were killed by Yzak Joule, Orga was killed during the Second Battle of Jachin Due by Three Ships Alliance pilot Athrun Zala in the ZGMF-X09A Justice equipped with the METEOR.
From flashback sequences in Gundam SEED Destiny, Shinn Asuka's family is killed by an explosion resulting from a crossfire between Orga's GAT-X131 Calamity, and the ZGMF-X10A Freedom. It is never made clear which mobile suit, if not both of them, is the direct cause of this tragedy.
