Anna Lira Luis y Videna is the first Filipino graduate of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture since it was established in 1937, earning the Master of Architecture Degree.
- Lira, who earned her first architect's license at age 23, holds architectural licenses in two countries. Having gone through the rigors of examination & registration requirements of each country, she is currently duly registered and licensed in the U.S. (in Arizona and Illinois) and the Philippines. She is also NCARB-certified, signifying she has met the profession's most objective standards of competence. ("By earning NCARB certification, architects often expedite reciprocity—the process through which they can offer their professional services in different jurisdictions. All licensed, certified architects have met the rigorous standards established by U.S. registration boards that are responsible for protecting the public health, safety, and welfare" [www.ncarb.org]. In addition, Lira is accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED® AP (which means "Leed Accredited Professional").
- She graduated cum laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas (see also List of University of Santo Tomas people), which has long been famous for its College of Architecture and Fine Arts.
- Born and raised in the Philippines, Lira is now a permanent resident of the United States. She earned the EB-2 Green Card for "having exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business" in 2004.
- Also in 2004, she was the runner-up winner in Metropolis Magazine's first NEXT Generation Entrepreneurial design competition. Her winning entry was the Portable Transient Shelter Pod, a housing solution for disaster victims and migrant sea workers.
- On March 27, 2008 the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) elected her as Chartered Architect signifying to colleagues, other architects, and clients that she is committed to the very highest standards of professional practice.
- She is the founder of Progressive Habitats Foundation, a division of Atelier Lira Luis, LLC. This organization focuses on forward-thinking solutions and designs for disaster victims and the homeless while creating an impact in society.
