Just removed the description of his defeat in 2005 as being "unexpected". Truth be told his election in the first place was what was surprising as Scarborough & Whitby isn't traditional Labour territory, and it was not in the least surprising that as the Labour tide receded the constituency would revert to type. -- Arwel 16:35, 7 May 2005 (UTC)
