Las Virgenes Stakes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Las Virgenes Stakes is a race for thoroughbred fillies. A Grade I event, it's raced each February at Santa Anita Park and offers a purse of $250,000 for eligible three-year-olds. The Las Virgenes is run at a distance of one mile on the dirt which makes it a minor prep for the Kentucky Oaks.
Serena's Song won this race in 1995.
