Langwarrin is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Frankston.

Langwarrin's most prominent landscape feature is its large Flora and Fauna reserve (formerly the Langwarrin Military Reserve). The nature reserve has many walking tracks and is an ideal place for quiet recreation activities such as walking, nature study and photography.

Cranbourne-Frankston Road which runs East-to-West through Langwarrin is currently being duplicated to become a 2-lane-each-direction carriageway to cater for this growing population, in part helped by a number of housing developments.

Until December 1994 Langwarrin was part of the City of Cranbourne, formerly the Shire of Cranbourne. At this time the suburb was moved into City of Frankston as part of state wide reform of local government.

It is located between Frankston and Cranbourne. Small parcels of land are continuing to be developed. Langwarrin is home to four primary schools one of which is private. There are recreation facilities which provides sports and education, such as Lloyd Park nearby Ballam Park, and McClelland Sculpture Park which Dame Elizabeth Murdoch helped develop. The local hospital is known as Peninsula Private. It has good access to the City via The Western Port Highway, South Gippsland and Monash freeways.

Langwarrin is home to the following parks and attractions:

  • McClelland Gallery, notable for its sculpture park.
  • The now-defunct Leisureland Fair amusement park, the largest operating amusement park in Victoria in its heyday.
  • Langwarrin skatepark, which has been open for several years.
  • The Langwarrin Flora & Fauna reserve, a large nature reserve with many bike and walking tracks. Its main entrance is on McLelland Drive.
  • Lloyd Park. A sport park that has netball & Tennis courts. It has 3 football grounds. It also has a scout centre. It has a football club room which could also be used for cricket.
  • Cruden Farm. Home of Dame Elizabeth Murdoch. Cruden Farm and its gardens are sometimes open to the public and various events are held there throughout the year.

  • Langwarrin fire station. Located on Centre Road, it celebrated its 75th year of service on Australia Day 2007.

Langwarrin has an Australian Rules Football Team (Langwarrin Kangaroos) that is one of Victoria's biggest junior football teams, a soccer team (Langwarrin Lions/Langwarrin Soccer Club), several junior basketball teams and tennis, netball, cricket and dancing teams.

It has a sport park ,Lloyd Park, which has a netball and tennis courts. It also has 3 football grounds. Other activities include walking in large parkland reserves, girl guides and a pony club which holds many competitions.

Langwarrin has two main shopping centres: The Gateway Shopping Village (owned by Centro Properties Group) - home to a Coles supermarket and 40 specialty stores and Langwarrin Plaza Shopping Centre, home to a Safeway supermarket.

There are also a number of small shopping strips, including the Long St Shops, and the Corner Shops at North & Warrandyte Rds.
