Kyle Erickson Mackey (born March 2, 1962) is a former Arena Football League player, who played quarterback for the Albany Firebirds and the Fort Worth Cavalry. He also played in the National Football League for the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins.

As a schoolboy (at Spring Hill High School in Longview, Texas) he set many passing records and was selected to the all-state team in both his Junior and Senior years. Mackey accepted an athletic scholarship to East Texas State University where he also had considerable success as an athletic rollout passer.

In his two-year National Football League career as a backup quarterback for the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins, Mackey passed for 1729 yards and 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions while gaining 563 rushing yards.

    • Kyle Mackey played his high school football at Alpine High School in Alpine, Texas. He did not play in Longview Texas.

Kyle Mackey is now a coach at Silsbee High School teaching some of the best kids of how the game is played, and he's loving every year of it.

Kyle Mackey ended his Arena Football League career with 187 pass completions out of 346 passes attempted (54.0% of passes completed), 2,253 passing yards, 34 touchdowns, only 14 interceptions and a high quarterback rating of 81.96.

Kyle Mackey is now coaching the Beaumont Drillers, a team in the National Indoor Football League.
