Kulebaki

Kulebaki (Russian: Кулебаки) is a town in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia, located 188 km southwest of Nizhny Novgorod at . Population: 39,072 (2002 Census); 45,727 (1989 Census). Administrative center of Kulebaksky District.
The village of Kulebaki was first mentioned in 1719. Town status since 1932. The local metal-working plant, Ruspolymet, founded in 1866 and originally producing equipment for railway industry, is now producing components for aerospace industry as well.[1]
Since 1953, Savasleyka base of Anti-Aircraft Defense Forces is operated near the village of the same name, in Kulebaksky District, some 10 km west of Kulebaki.
