[edit] Title

"KSL Newsradio" is the official title of the station used on their website. It is much better to use a non-parenthetical title than a parenthetical one. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 17:01, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Per naming conventions for radio stations, radio stations are to be located at their call sign whenever possible. In this case, a parenthetical disambiguation is required. JPG-GR 17:19, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
The article includes the call sign (KSL), and the rest of their official name. In almost all cases, they refer to themselves as "KSL Newsradio" on air as well as on their site. Therefore, that trumps anything else since that is obviously the most commonly used name. Before they added the FM simulcast, I would have agreed with you, but now that they broadcast on both AM and FM, using their official name is what needs to be done. Since their official name includes the call sign, this is not an issue here. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 17:29, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
I was the one who moved the page. Theoretically, the names should be KSL (AM) and KSL-FM. Since both seem to be simulcasting, and not much is really known about them as separate entities, I felt KSL (radio) would be the best move. Remember, this is not about what a radio station calls itself. U.S. radio stations are listed by call sign. For example, WHTZ's article is at WHTZ, not [[Z100]]. --Fightingirish 17:34, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
I couldn't have said it better myself. JPG-GR 18:15, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Articles should be listed at the most common name. If a sub-guideline is indicating that an article should be listed at another name, then that guideline is flawed and incorrect. "KSL Newsradio" incorporates the call sign and disambiguates the article from the TV station. Therefore, "KSL Newsradio" is the best location for the article. As for the location on the radio, I've never said the article should be at "KSL 1160" or "KSL 102.7 FM", which the station also uses to identify itself. The all-encompassing title, which includes the call sign, is "KSL Newsradio". ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 19:01, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
See the Radio Stations Project. This says it all.--Fightingirish 19:20, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Schedule

The schedule allows for easy linking to various shows which have their own articles. Since one of the main points of Wikipedia is to provide links to related topics (which can't be done in a regular paper encyclopedia), this helps immensely in that purpose. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 17:01, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

People can go to the website for that. This is not the purpose of the article. Remember, Wikipedia is not a directory (WP:NOT#DIR). Schedules are also borderline copyright violations, if they were copied directly from the KSL site. It would be preferable to perhaps convert some of this massive list to prose form. Otherwise, this thing is pretty ridiculous. If you'd like to contribute to the article, might I suggest adding station history, old logos, etc.? That would be a better use of the article.--Fightingirish 17:34, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Photo

We should have a photo somewhere on the article page. I was at the Triad Center yesterday and I would have taken a photo of the KSL logo on the east side of their building, but I didn't have my camera. Someone who goes there more frequently should take a photo of this logo. — Val42 17:02, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
