Krong Bong (in Vietnamese, Krông Bông) is a District of Dak Lak Province. The name is originally from the language of an ethnic group in the Central Highlands.

The chief town of Krong Bong is Krong Kmar. There are 13 communities: Hòa Sơn, Hòa Lễ, Hòa Phong, Hòa Thành, Hòa Tân, Cư KTy, Yang Ré, Ea Trul, Yang Mao, Yang Cang, Cư DRâm, Cư Pui, Khuê Ngọc Điền

A high percentage of area is tropical forest. Krong Bong's weather can vary widely day by day, or even throughout the day. The average temperature is about 25 degrees Celsius.
Krong Kmar is a valley surrounded by Chư Yang Sin mountain system, the highest mountain in Dak Lak Province. Chư Yang Sin mountain:2045m

Unlike many other districts of Dak Lak, coffee is not the main crop, as Krong Bong lacks basalt soil. Cashew, cassava and pepper are the most important agricultural products.
A large power plant is currently under construction to supply electricity for the entire surrounding area.
