[edit] sandbox

It is a good idea to start any new article in User:Kmisra/sandbox and only copy it into the (Main) namespace once it is "viable". I nearly deleted Flight 605 as "copy-n-paste vandalism" when I saw the first state of it! -- RHaworth 10:11, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Flight_605_crash.jpg

[edit] AfD tag

Please stop removing the Article for Deletion tag at SkyWest Airlines flight 5741. This is considered vandalism.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 22:14, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Good article

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that you did a good job putting the Republic Airlines flight 4912 & SkyWest Airlines flight 5741 page together. Please DO NOT let the AfD process discourage you. The nominator was acting in good faith, but he nominated it ONE MINUTE after you started the page. He has been called on this, and I hope he will be more careful in the future. If you'd like to know how to start an article on a sandbox page first, let me know, and I'll be glad to explain it to you. This way, you can but a fully-formed article on the mainspace, and hopefully avoid over-eager nominations ofr deletion in the future. By the way, the article is most likely going to be kept, as of right now anyway. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Aviation accident task force is fully behind it. You might want to take a look at that page, and consider joining the task force if you haven't already. Again, good job! - BillCJ 02:32, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mike Gascoyne

Hi. I see that you addressed some of my concernes regarding uncited information in the Mike Gascoyne article, thanks! However, you must be careful that the articles and websites which you cite actually support the information stated in the Wikipedia text. For instance, you have cited this article as supporting "Mike Gascoyne's" instruction to put Winkelhock onto wet tyres. The article does not state this, it mere suggests that "Spyker Ferrari" did so. Now you may assume that Spyker = Gascoyne, but there is no evidence that this is so from that article, explicit links need to be made. The suggestion could well have come from someone lower in the team ranking. Similarly, the BBC article does not support the statement that Gascoyne and Toyota parted through "mutual agreement" (note the direct quotation... this needs to be verbatim, not just the gist). I have altered the working of the text to fit. You made a change to the speed improvement quote, so you are presumably aware of this issue, but you need to be a touch more careful in future! ;-) Pyrope 11:24, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
