[edit] Takes place after first Kingdom Hearts?

I find this bit of information to be canonically impossible. Kingdom Hearts leads straight into Chain of Memories and Sora and company (Jimminey included) went straight to sleep from Chain of Memories, waking up in Kingdom Hearts 2. Not only that, but King Mickey was with DiZ during these events, so he couldn't have seen Jimminey during that time. Mavrickindigo 18:04, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

I thought that too, but that's what the source says. The source also said that the square representative said the timeline is a bit muddled. I guess we'll wait and see what other sources say as it gets closer to the release. (Guyinblack25 ^talk 18:42, 20 September 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Title

In SQUARE ENIX's press release[1] they wrote "coded" in all lowercase. I've changed the title of the wikipage, but it got changed back again. Is this against wikipedia's rules again? Then what about xxxHolic? It doesn't even start with a capital. I think if SQUARE ENIX explicitly writes a title in lowercase, wikipedia should reflect that. I totally agree with your change. This is the English-language Wikipedia, and as such, the English press release trumps the Japanese (PDF) press release. Kariteh 11:47, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

As an added bonus, for those not in the know, coded is written with the "c" in capital letters at the start of sentences. Why? See Wikipedia: Manual of Style (trademark). — Blue。 08:11, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Proper sourcing

To all editors that would like to add new information about the new game, please be sure to add proper citation along with your new content. Simply stating in the edit summary or in the sentence that it was in a recent or new magazine is only part of the information needed for proper sourcing. Additional information required is the name of the magazine, the issue #, and the publication date. In addition to that, other information that would be nice to have is the name of the article or section in the magazine, the page #s, and/or the name of the article writer. There are two reasons behind this.

1. Proper sourcing and citation add credibility to the information and lets the uninformed reader know the information is factual and reliable.
2. It also is required to make it to Good Article and Featured Article, which several of us would like to see in order to add the new games into the Kingdom Hearts Featured Topic. Without these articles at a level of quality of at least Good Article some time after they're released, the topic will be delisted.

The extra information is appreciated and we hope more is found, but without proper sourcing, we can't really have it in the article per WP:CITE. (Guyinblack25 ^talk 13:13, 2 October 2007 (UTC))

Sorry to say this, but it needs to be cleared up: GameSpot, IGN, EGM, etc, NONE of those are reliable sources when it comes to international releases and exports to other regions, mainly because their "confirmations" are either speculation or wishful thinking. If it helps, these 4 are the most reliable sources we can use regarding any new news of releases: SquareEnix themselves; Famitsu; V-Jump; Gamaga. The article says that the game is co-developed by Walt Disney Internet Group, but the source doesn't seem to mention that. Or is it mentioned in Japanese? I'm a bit surprised because, according to the Walt Disney Internet Group article, this group isn't a game developer. FightingStreet (talk) 12:02, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
