Kimberley Cooper

Kimberley Cooper, (born 24 April, 1980) in Sydney New South Wales, is an Australian actress who played Gypsy Smith (née Nash) in Home and Away (1998-2002, 2005). Cooper won the Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent on Australian television in 1999 and the Best Aussie Actress for The Inside Soap Awards, U.K., 2000.[citation needed] In 2002, she was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother Australia.
In her early years Kimberley studied ballet for 12 years winning awards for jazz, tap and classical ballet[citation needed]. Her initial introduction to acting was with the Twelfth Night Theatre Group for children.
Kimberley left Home and Away prior to the expiration of her contract. In 2006 Cooper resurfaced in New York City, performing in an Australian production of "The Boys" to American audiences. Reviews cited the production as average[citation needed] but Kim's performance was praised[citation needed].
