Kieran West, MBE (born 18 September 1977) is a British rower and Olympic champion.
An Olympic oarsman for Great Britain in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, he won gold in the Men's Eight (after winning silver in the 1999 World championships). In the following years, he became World Champion with the coxed four in 2002 and won silver in 2003. He also rowed in the Men's Eight at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
He was awarded the MBE for "services to rowing" in the New Year’s Honours list in 2001. An oarsman of the winning Cambridge Blue Boat crew in the 1999 Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race, he was later President of the winning 2001 crew, after which he was also voted Cambridge Sports Personality of the Year for 2000/2001.
Educated at Dulwich College, he went on to Christ's College, Cambridge, where he studied Economics and Land Economy, followed by a PGCE in Mathematics. After two years teaching Mathematics at King's College School, Wimbledon, he read for an MA in War Studies at King's College London, and is currently studying for a PhD in First World War Strategy and Military Intelligence at Pembroke College, Cambridge. He raced for the Cambridge team for a third time in the 2006 Boat Race, and again for a fourth time in the 2007 race.
"Kieran West, MBE" is also the name of the City of Cambridge Rowing Club's first men's boat.
