Kevin Weldon

Kevin Weldon AM is an Australian book publisher. He was born in Ingham in 1933 and educated at Brisbane Grammar School, Queensland.
Weldon's first job was as a journalist at Brisbane Truth before he moved into publishing where the ran the Australian operations of Hamlyn Books.
He later bought out Hamlyn Books and renamed it Weldon International which was involved in the publishing of Macquarie Dictionary, Don Bradman scrapbooks and A Day in the Life of Australia among other popular titles.
Weldon has had a keen interest in surf life saving. He helped to start the International Life Saving Federation and was the founding the President of the ILSF.
