This page seriously needs a tidy-up, it is completely unwikified and is also written in the first person, which is unencyclopedic. ChrisTheDude 22:18, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

According to http://www.midcomb.com/league_tables.htm the club resigned from the league - perhaps they have folded or joined another league. I have contacted the MFC league secretary to shed some light on the matter. Antgel 15:24, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
I notice that the tables show their reserves as still being in Division Three, with no reference to Reserves in their name. Maybe only the Division One side has left the league, with the Division Three side now becoming the first team.......? ChrisTheDude 09:30, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Nigel Wood's reply was as follows: Kenilworth Town wihdrew their team from division 1, but kept their team in division 3 in the competition. Looking at the league table, one wonders how long they will be around for. I'm not tempted to work on an article for a club that looks like it might not be around in six months. Antgel 14:16, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
This is the club history text from the old programme. The club has gone through some changes recently but is not in danger of folding. The first team was withdrawn from the Division 1 of the Midland Football Combination in October but the reserve team continue in Division 3 (but have been renamed to remove the 'Reserves').--Mathsewell 23:43, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
If the text has been lifted verbatim from a programme then it definitely needs re-writing to avoid potential copyright violation. Also there's some quite poor text in there which seriously needs cleaning up - for instance, what does "60's Tom Cartwright better known as Warks R England sean bowler." mean? There's also at least one instance I spotted where the club is referred to in the first person ("us"/"we") which is unacceptable..... ChrisTheDude 08:24, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
All good points. If no-one has any objections I will rewrite the entire page, bringing it up to date and making the structure similar to other Combination sides.--Mathsewell 10:22, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Sounds like a good plan. The Heath Hayes page is a good example to follow, I'd say..... ChrisTheDude 10:24, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Added in the Football infobox and the relevant information. I will double check the information on the standing capacity.

[edit] Name change?

The club is called Kenilworth Town Football Club. The senior side is called Kenilworth Town K H and the junior sides are called Kenilworth Town Juniors. Should this article only contain information on the senior side or on the entire club? I would be grateful for any advice before making any more changes.--Mathsewell 00:31, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

I'd say the article should only cover the first team, with maybe a cursory mention of the Juniors if they've achieved anything particularly significant ChrisTheDude 08:22, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rewritten page

I've rewritten the page, including changing the structure and text (Thanks for the suggestion Chris, I used Heath Hayes and Bolehall Swifts as models). There is more to add but I need to verify some of the facts first. Mathsewell--Mathsewell 12:17, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

The article looks a zillion times better now, nice one! ChrisTheDude 17:24, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks very much, and thanks for the help. I see you managed to add a logo, which kept failing for me earlier. I'm not sure whether I should have modified your logo but have ended up just linking up to the one I uploaded, especially as I'm not sure I attributed the correct licence when I uploaded the image. I hope to make any more changes after the weekend. Thanks again Chris.--Mathsewell 18:07, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
I've just noticed number 7 on the squad list :-) Best of luck for the rest of the season ChrisTheDude 07:55, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. And thanks for your help, will get this totally up to date after the weekend.--Mathsewell 21:47, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Ktfc.jpg

Image:Ktfc.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
