Kelly Morgan

Kelly Morgan (born May 22, 1975) is a Welsh badminton player born in South Wales, who attended Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive school in Beddau, near Pontypridd.

Morgan played badminton at the 1996 Summer Olympics, defeating Yang Song of Australia in the first round and Zarinah Abdullah of Singapore in the second round, before losing to Mia Audina of Indonesia in the third round. Mia Audina went on to win the Silver Medal

Morgan played badminton at the 2000 Summer Olympics, defeating Aparna Popat of Indiain the first round and Koon Wai Chee Louisa of Hong Kong in the second round, before losing to Camilla Martin of Denmark in the third round. Camilla Martin went on to win the Silver Medal

Morgan played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics, defeating Lenny Permana of Australia in the first round but losing to Zhang Ning of China in the second round. Zhang Ning went on to win the Gold Medal

She also won a Gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in 1998

Kelly Morgan won the Silver Medal at the 1998 European Badminton Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, and the Bronze Medal at the 2000 European Badminton Championships in Glasgow Scotland

Kelly Morgan won an incredible 13 consecutive Ladies Singles titles at the Welsh National Badminton Championships from 1992 to 2004, as well as 6 Ladies Doubles titles and 4 Mixed Doubles titles
