[edit] Castlevania

Hello, Keith. Welcome to Wikipedia.

I saw the screenshots you've added to the Castlevania: Dracula X and the Super Castlevania IV articles. They're both screenshots from taken from the final boss, right? Well, first of all, I'd like to ask you to always take a lot of care when you add new images to small articles like that, full of images and a box. It's a problem, because when something like an image is added, all the formatting of the page is changed to accept the picture, and that usually make things look pretty bad. The appearance of the article gets irregular. I managed to make things look a little better on the Castlevania IV one, but I really couldn't do much on the Dracula X one. There isn't any place where I can put the new picture there, so things still look pretty bad on it. That's why it would be a good idea to take care when adding new pictures like that. In certain cases (like these), it's usually better to not add new pics until the article grows to a good size. Good enough to support more things on them without losing the formatting.

Also, there's another problem. Since those pics show the last boss in the games, they are spoilers. Some of the people that come to those articles certainly intend to play those games, and in that case, they become spoilers. That's not a very good thing here on Wikipedia. Sure, we can always add spoiler tags to the body of the articles, but when it comes to pictures, it gets very hard not to see them. I'll ask you to consider changing them to screenshots that show some earlier level in those games. I know seeing Dracula is cool and all, but it's really a bad practice here.

I know you'll understand. If you could take care of those two problems, it would be very nice. It's also a good idea to spend some time paying attention to the way things work here on Wikipedia. Also check the links Graham left up there. Those are the best ways of learning what works and what doesn't. Thank you.--Kaonashi 01:24, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Blunsdon Match Pic 1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Blunsdon Match Pic 1.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:13, 7 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 04:13, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Twingine

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Twingine, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Twingine. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Blunsdon United.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Blunsdon United.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 01:31, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Breath of Fire (U) Pic 4.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Breath of Fire (U) Pic 4.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:59, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
