Kate Elizabeth Voegele (born December 8, 1986) is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and pianist from the Cleveland suburb of Bay Village, Ohio. She is currently signed to MySpace Records, which is distributed by Interscope Records.
Voegele began gaining interest from record labels and management companies after recordng a series of demos. The first demo "The Other Side" (released in 2003) was produced by multi-platinum, award winning producer Michael Seifert. Her second demo "Louder Than Words" (released in 2004) was produced by Marshall Altman. Kate signed a record deal with Myspace Records in 2006 and released her debut album Don't Look Away (produced by Marshall Altman) in May of 2007.

Voegele performed at Farm Aid in 2004 and 2005 with Dave Matthews, Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp. She released the EP "Louder Than Words" in February 2005.
Her song, "Only Fooling Myself" was featured in CBS' dramas Clubhouse and Ghost Whisperer. "It's Only Life" was featured on MTV's Newport Harbor and the Lifetime Original movie Custody. "Facing Up" was featured on MTV's The Hills.
Voegele's song "I Won't Disagree" was a winner of the New York City, Songwriters Circle in 2006.[1] Her song "Only Fooling Myself" also won praise at the 2006 USA Songwriting Competition at Borders Books & Music in Austin, TX.[2]
Voegele sang the national anthem at an NBA basketball game between the New York Knicks and the Utah Jazz at Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY on December 23, 2005. She also supported The Relief Project charity event in New York City on December 22, 2005 as a guest singer with her father Will playing the guitar. Voegele later sang the national anthem at the Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs Major League Baseball game in Cincinnati, Ohio in September 2006, and opened a show at the House of Blues, Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, September 30, 2006 for the popular country rock duo Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp, also known as The Wreckers.
As of Spring 2008, Kate opened for Hanson along with Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers. As of Spring and Summer 2008, Kate Voegele will be opening for Natasha Bedingfield and The Veronicas on the Verizon VIP Tour.
[edit] Television singing and acting guest star appearances
Kate Voegele recently began a recurring guest spot in seven episodes of The CW television series One Tree Hill on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Voegele plays Mia, a young singer and keyboardist for a rock band fronted by Jason (Kevin Federline). After Peyton (Hilarie Burton) signs the band to her upstart record label and becomes increasingly frustrated with Jason's attitude, she eventually drops him and the rest of the band, but retains Mia as a developing new artist at the insistence of Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti), who is somewhat well-versed in the music industry as well. Mia performs songs on the series from Voegele's real-life debut album Don't Look Away including "Kindly Unspoken" in her very first episode.
Kate Voegele performed several songs from her debut album Don't Look Away on the The Early Show, Saturday, February 2, 2008 on CBS television network nationally. Kate's band member Sam provided backup vocals and beat box support while Mark played the bass guitar.

Voegele attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio through spring of 2007 as a fine art and psychology major, leaving to focus on a music career afterwards.
As of spring 2008, Kate is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Psychology at the University of Phoenix (UOP) online while balancing her professional music career on the road touring. [3]
