Karen Sinclair AM (born November 20, 1952 in Wrexham) is a Labour politician and member for the constituency of Clwyd South in the National Assembly for Wales. She was born and brought up in Wrexham, North Wales and has lived in Llangollen for more than twenty years.

[edit] Education and professional career
Karen was educated at Grove Park Girls School, Wrexham. Youth service for fourteen years and is a former Care Manager for clients with learning disabilities for Wrexham Social Services. She is also a former trained CAB adviser. She was also a school governor at Ysgol Dinas Bran, chair of the Youth Club Committee and is actively involved in the local community.

Karen was a member of the former Glyndwr District council for seven years preceding the local Government reorganisation and also served on Denbighshire County Council. She chairs the URBAN II West Wrexham regeneration project monitoring committee and is a member of UNISON.
