Kanie (蟹江町 Kanie-chō?) is a town in the southwest part of Aichi Prefecture. The town belongs to Ama District. In a neighborhood, Kanie-river, Nikkou-river, and Fukuta-river flow to north and south, and each is flowing into Ise bay.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 36,614 and a density of 3,298.56 persons per km². The total area is 11.10 km².
Origin of a name of Kanie town is because there were a lot of crabs.
As for sightseeing of this town,Owarionsen is famous sightseeing. A famous hotel is Matsuokahousenkaku. And a festival in Sunari.This festival is traditional festival about 500 tears.
Special product of this town is Ichijiku and Pottomamu.
