Kagera River
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Kagera River, also Akagera River, is a remote source of the Nile. The river originates in Burundi, forms the Rwanda-Tanzania, Tanzania-Uganda border and flows into Lake Victoria. During the Rwandan Genocide the river brought massacred bodies into Lake Victoria. It lends its name to Akagera National Park in northern Rwanda.
It is near the province and town of Rusumo.
