[edit] Thanks

Thanks for helping on Pogona minima. --Roamataa 13:00, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

No problem, glad to help - Jvhertum 13:35, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cornelis Corneliszoon Jol

I am in the process of translating a novel based on this ancestor of mine, written by Jaap Waldenmaaier in the late 1940s. I have tried finding out more about this author without success. Can you help? Many thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Houtebeen (talk • contribs) 09:50, 18 March 2007 (UTC).

Sorry, I can't help you with that. The only piece of info I have to offer is that his last name is spelled Waldenmaier, not Waldermaaier. Regards, Jvhertum 10:24, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wonderbra Women

Thanks for your input on this. Frankly, I created this page to help find a depository for the "wonderbra women" that other wikipedians kept adding to the core Wonderbra article. The earliest versions of the Wonderbra article contained this list but during the FAC process, it was pretty much agreed that this was a bit frivolous and it was eliminated. I'm all ears on ways to better handle it. Since I'm relatively new to wikipedia, I'm not sure if there's another way of creating lists to accommodate the pop-oriented contributions. Mattnad 16:47, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I do not think the subject is notable enough to warrant its own page, hence the notability tag. IMO it should be merged into Wonderbra and is interesting enough to be mentioned there. If however the consensus is that it is frivolous and should be eliminated, than it certainly should not be moved to its own page but, as is the consensus, eliminated. Regards, - Jvhertum 14:28, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Linear iga

Thanks for the changes you have made to this article. I would like to have the titlle changed back to Linear IgA though, as noone ever refers to it as Linear Immunoglobulin A and most people looking for it would search for Linear iga, which doesnt bring up the article when searching via an external search engine such as google. Liga girl 11:40, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi Liga girl, for page titles I prefer the full, non-abbreviated name. People will still find this article when searching for "Linear IgA", as typing this will automatically redirect to the article. However, I leave it to your discretion. Kind regards, Jvhertum 11:55, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] North Church

This is idiomatic English; "Northern Church" would not be, and is unnatural. While this is not the sort of point you will find in most dictionaries, see Old South Church (and Paul Revere). Please reconsider your opinion. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 14:33, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Acid house

Thanks for helping to keep the external links on the acid house article free of spam. I've just posted a note to Talk:Acid house about the situation and hope that you and other editors with an interest in the article will continue to help with it. Cheers, —mjb 17:48, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

No prob, and I've just posted a message on the offending user's talk page. If he continues to spam, stronger measures could be taken. Regards, Jvhertum 15:58, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

I just left a warning on User talk:121.222.189.102 for a 3RR violation.

If it continues, feel free to nominate them for a block on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/3RR. —mjb 16:25, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. So annoying... Jvhertum 17:46, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] jillids from the ducht wikipedia

—Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.90.152.44 (talk) 10:41, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Groeten, Jvhertum 07:21, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Did you know

Updated DYK query On 6 October 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Zwanenburgwal, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

[edit] WP:RCU

Hello Jvhertum! I see you've had a problem recently with IP address attacking this page, I seen your recent edit to AIV. This is what was stated there:

Someone is using these various IP addresses to constantly add nonsense to Acid house and Left-Right politics and leave abusive messages ([1], [2], [3], [4]). Ignoring requests and warnings. Please take some action to put a halt to this, e.g. semi-protect Acid house (Left-Right politics had already been protected). Thanks, Jvhertum 12:41, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

We could send them to Wikipedia:Requests for Checkuser. It may help, as they appear to have a never-ending appetite to vandalise the Acid House article. Regards, Rudget Contributions 13:05, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes please, take whatever action you can. Perhaps Acid house should also be semiprotected as I suggested. Thanks! Jvhertum 13:24, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
I've filed a request for page protection as suggested, and proposed a two-week covering (as of yet no response has been made). I'll ask another editor about the IP vandalism for now, if they don't reply I'll try to get them all blocked, because it's quite clear there intentions aren't to help Wikipedia. Thanks once again for bringing this to my attention. Regards, Rudget Contributions 13:56, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Great. You're a star! Jvhertum 14:34, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

It has now been protected. Rudget Contributions 16:18, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Protection of Acid House

Hi Rudget, you recently semiprotected Acid house at my request, now that the semiprotection period has ended the problem has started again, see [1]. Could you take some action please? Thanks in advance! Jvhertum 12:30, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello again Jvhertum. I see what you mean, unfortunately I am going to refrain from requesting protection of the page, and I suggest you do the same, as I am certain that the admin who would do the task would like to see more vandalism, i.e. a bigger and more better rationale for requesting protection of the page. Wait to see if there is anymore unconstructive or vandal edits (circa.10 edits) and then ask here, as I'm sure you already know. Regards, Rudget 15:48, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, we'll wait 'n' see! Jvhertum 08:34, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bobby Farrell

I changed the external link to "Interview with Bobby Farrell" like you said; if the video gets deleted from the site for copyvio concerns then we can remove it all together.   jj137 23:10, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, you're a star. Jvhertum (talk) 23:18, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
No problem, and happy holidays!   jj137 23:23, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
I removed the external link altogether and alerted USRepublican we couldn't use it. Hopefully this is all settled now. --  jj137 16:48, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
No problem on the assist. He wasn't too happy about it and then left me some wonderful notes of appreciation. The IP got blocked for 48 (I think) hours, so he'll be out of your hair for a little bit. Jauerback (talk) 17:52, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Unfortunately we're not supposed to protect pages due to one editor (and he's blocked). Obviously if it starts up again by him or someone else I'll give it a long protection.   jj137 21:22, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay, no prob. The block should do the trick for now. Jvhertum (talk) 10:51, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
The IP editor has requested the information be placed back on the page for the time being.   jj137 23:35, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ceephax /acid house

Hello, how are you? Hope you are ok. I tried to add Ceephax Acid Crew to the list of acid house musicians on the acid house page. Ceephax is quite notable and sells a lot of records, also he is a wizard on the TB-303 and other old Roland gear. I was just hoping to ask you why you removed it, because the message said that Ceephax is not acid house. I couldn't understand that. With your permission I would like to readd Ceephax. Please let me know what you think. I will come back here to check for your response. Have a great day. Rainbowabc (talk) 15:33, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bobby Farrell

Hi again, if you notice, WP:RSUE is part of WP:V; it covers sources (references). If you noticed, I included the link as an external link (the IP editor was going crazy to get it back in somewhere). I think it's a compromise.   jj137 20:35, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

You seem to speak Dutch from your userpage. Does he actually say anything about a gay-for-pay or not?   jj137 17:25, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
I do speak Dutch, in fact I am an admin of the Dutch Wikipedia. Could we please move beyond this now? The YouTube clip is not a valid source per WP:RSUE, as I have pointed out repeatedly. Let's please put this discussion to bed. Regards, Jvhertum (talk) 12:06, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
We're not including it as a source, but simply as a link.   jj137 22:27, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Canals of Amsterdam

Hi Jvhertum. I just looked back at the Canals of Amsterdam article and noticed a list of no longer existing canals had been added to the article with a lot of red links. I have moved the list to the talkpage where people can use the information to help build the article, though I have serious doubts about its usefulness and validity in the article itself - especially in its current state. I had a look at the history and noted that you added the list, so you might be interested in having a discussion about my edit as I would assume you'd disagree and would want to put forward some reasons for why the list should be there. Regards SilkTork *YES! 17:30, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] United States of Belgium

The title of the Map is ...A Most Exact Map of Flanders of Austrian Netherlands. Not sure why you undid my edit.--Buster7 (talk) 23:03, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Because Flanders was part of the Austrian Netherlands. Jvhertum (talk) 09:28, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

I apologize for removing comments. It was not intentional and I dont recall what they were. Please let me know so I can retrace my steps. Thank you. As for the Map...I still do not feel it is accurate. I will ask a cartographer for help.--Buster7 (talk) 20:00, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

By the way, I did use proper English. I made an effort to be brief but comprehensive. It is acceptable to exclude prepositions to facilitate brevity.--Buster7 (talk) 05:33, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bobby Farrell

I removed the link... I'm still not sure what to do about this in the long run; I was hoping it would "die away" but apparently not any more. :(   jj137 (talk) 02:06, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Then don't say it's "inappropriate" and don't contradict your own statements which you made on this page earlier, and last but not least formulate your own educated opinion on the matter, rather than satisfying other contributors' flagrantly biased vested interests. USRepublican (talk) 03:59, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
