[edit] Character order list of One Tree Hill

Hello, Julesn84. The character list edit-war that is going on with the One Tree Hill article, where newbie and random Wikipedian editors keep putting either Peyton Sawyer before Brooke Davis or Brooke Davis before Peyton Sawyer is silly...except for when it is actually correct. You reverted User:Niall Feighney's edit where Niall placed Peyton Sawyer third on that character list...before Brooke Davis (who actually comes sixth), but Niall was right to place Peyton Sawyer third. And I will place her third as well on that list, and make sure that all the other characters/actors on that character list are placed in the order of which the opening credits air. If you revert my edits on that front, they will be placed back, and I may seek out a Wikipedia administrator to report this problem. I'll see you around. Flyer22 02:36, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

  • I received your message, though it originally made it to my user page instead of my talk page. I see, and it's nice to know that you'll be more careful with the One Tree Hill character list. I've seen some of your other edits, and I want you to know that I feel that you are a good editor. Make sure that a message you deliver to another editor here at Wikipedia, though, ends up on their talk page instead of their user page. Take care. Flyer22 05:56, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] regarding cleanup

why has the cleanup template been added to Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Spain), The article was only created about 40 seconds ago.Kevin hipwell (talk) 01:19, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

I changed your cleanup template to an expand template instead,
I will also use the <!-- comment --> tag to hide the image code,
as for lack of images that is explained in the discussion.Kevin hipwell (talk) 01:28, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks very much for commenting them out for me :)Kevin hipwell (talk) 01:29, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] High Speed Flight RAF

Thanks for repeating my edit summary and tagging a new page with "possible copy vio" a mere 9 minutes after I'd first saved it. Whilst I appreciate the importance of policing such things, do you not think that a hair-trigger reaction is hardly the best way to encourage those editors who create content? Andy Dingley (talk) 01:49, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Velbus (protocol)

Hello Julesn84, can you please help why my article Velbus (protocol) was deleted. I do not see straight advertisement.

The article about C-bus, is similar to my article and did not get deleted: The C-bus article clearly states company names, it even advertises the Clipsalcompany.

Pleas help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stefran (talkcontribs) 07:10, 22 April 2008 (UTC) --Stefran (talk) 10:48, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 15:34, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Louis Bozon AfD

If you want to put withdrawn on an AFD, then put withdrawn and give your reason why. That is all. Chris (talk) 15:34, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm arguing to redirect, so you cannot withdraw it at this point. Cheers, CP 15:36, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your help on the Louis Bozon article in saving it from deletion. I really appreciate it. Chris (talk) 20:17, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Also with the Dario Poggi article. Chris (talk) 20:24, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Redirects

Don't place a nocontext tag on a redirect. It's not supposed to give context, just be a cross reference. DGG (talk) 22:35, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Alumni House notability

Hi- I'm just wondering why a notability tag was placed on Alumni House? I saw that when I created the page that it had been made and deleted before, however that was an entirely different Alumni House not at all related to the one I made. If that's not the reason then I'm just not exactly sure why there's that tag? -Jrcla2 01:09, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

The building is notable because it is a registered historic building in the City of Williamsburg and also because it the central building for all William & Mary alumni and/or historical functions. It is a 19th century building that is one of two "focal points" of the College campus; the other being Blow Memorial Hall. If you still seem unconvinced I implore you to (at least for a while) renounce that notability tag because I am presently working on creating & expanding a College of William & Mary collection of articles. I just started two days ago (see the date of creation for the W&M template for proof). I want to build up the College's pages so that it is comparable to most other important Division I colleges or universities. If there a "WikiProject College of W&M" I'd be its biggest contributor. So again, please reconsider. Thanks for explaining yourself. -Jrcla2 22:39, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Two things: One, I had heard that the Alumni House was a registered historic building, but after some research it turns out that information is incorrect. However, I have found an article online that denotes notability (even I think you would agree as such). Click here for the story. The part I want you to notice the most is the very last paragraph:

"If the building to the far right of Sneden's Williamsburg panorama is the Bright House, as I believe (and as J. T. Baldwin's words allow), the Alumni House is an antebellum structure, one of only a few buildings on campus to have witnessed Civil War Williamsburg."

After reading the article and seeing that in there, don't you think that being one of only three buildings on the entire campus (of the nation's second-oldest college no less) to witness the Civil War in person makes that building mentionable? -Jrcla2 (talk) 01:06, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Aubrey William de Vere Beauclerk

I hope I have explained the notability of Aubrey William de Vere Beauclerk to your satisfaction on the article's talk page. The article may not look like anything yet and may never be anything fantastically long, but Beauclerk is mentioned in Mary Shelley's biographies because she had a relationship with him. I believe that this gives him notability. I hope to flesh out the article a bit in the coming days! Thanks. Awadewit (talk) 05:18, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Please be more careful when tagging articles for speedy deletion. An article which referenced a reliable source or published work is not speediable under A7. —Dark talk 09:11, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cohors II Gallorum

Please explain why this article has been proposed for deletion. Regards EraNavigator (talk) 20:31, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi. There's nothing special about this unit. This article is intended as the first in a project to provide individual entries for every known Roman auxiliary regiment (all 400+ of them) as there is for each Roman legion. Each article will be linked to the main article List of Roman auxiliary regiments. I don't see why the content is described as unreliable. It is based on the best and most up-to-date compendium of the available evidence for auxiliary regiments. Regards EraNavigator (talk) 20:53, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't understand your position. Are you saying that Roman auxiliary regiments should not have separate articles on them? If so, why not? In Wiki's 2 million + articles, I have come across many less "notable" than this. EraNavigator (talk) 21:14, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for withdrawing the nomination. I understand your desire to improve our work here but I am very pleased that you were so willing to reconsider. We need more people like that around here. Let me know if I can ever help. -JodyB talk 02:14, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Cheers. I'll admit that I was a bit quick off the mark, but at the time I thought that an article which basically stated the existence of the cohort, and a list of what it might of done was not notable. --JulesN Talk 02:26, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Julesn84, how I can delete unsuccessful article by my self? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dimachorny (talkcontribs) 18:06, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Afd

I have nominated two Relient K-related articles for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Future Relient K albums. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you. —ScouterSig 03:43, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 2000-2001 Demos deletion

Hi. You've put a speedy deletion tag on 2000-2001 Demos according to section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion...But that criteria says "A7 applies only to articles about web content or articles on people and organizations themselves, not articles on their books, albums, software and so on" - 2000-2001 Demos was an album, so the speedy deletion was wrong. And according to WP:Notability (music)#Albums it is notable if I can show enough reliable sources. So what I am gonna do now is just show more reliable sources. Thanks for reading.--  LYKANTROP  16:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

I did nominate it for a speedy deletion, under the wrong criteria it is true, however when it was delete by Cobaltbluetony he did so because it fell foul of WP:CSD#G4: Recreation of deleted material: see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2000-2001 Demos. - JulesN Talk 16:28, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks--  LYKANTROP  16:31, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Foldback (sound engineering)

I would like to add the refence back in. While the Judy Garlan reference only refers to the date, the McCune Sound reference talks about the monitor. Do you have a problem with this? Robert.harker (talk) 21:51, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
