Julian Castro

Julián Castro (born September 16th, 1974) is a Mexican-American politician from San Antonio, Texas. Castro served on the San Antonio City Council from 2001 to 2005, where he sought to establish himself as a leader on issues of economic development, education, and environmental protection. In June of 2005, Castro was defeated by Judge Phil Hardberger in a run-off election for Mayor of San Antonio.
Julian, a native of San Antonio and twin brother of Joaquin Castro, is a graduate of Stanford and Harvard Law School
