Call me Josh. I've been using wikipedia for a while now, and just started contributing recently (March 4, 2006). Most of my usage is for school, but whenever I want to research something I start with wikipedia, so I thought it was only fair that I gave something back. My first fairly big contribution was a section about French wedding customs.

Everything in my life stems from my views on the Bible. I like to think that my theme verses are II Timothy 2:15 and I Timothy 2:4: study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. I Timothy 2:4 tells us that it's God's will that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. There's a lot of confusion and lies out there in the name of Christianity, religion, and God. The only thing we can trust is the preserved word of God in the King James Version. Religion itself today is just wrong, as we are not under a system of laws, but a system of grace: believe that Christ died for your sins and you'll go to Heaven, no matter what. There is nothing else involved (Romans 3:28, Romans 4:5) and it's the only thing that will work. Read Romans chapters 1-8. The Word of God explains it a lot better than I can. Going further, we must rightly divide divide the Bible. God is also not intervening today.

I've been programming since I was 11, and in fact had a business in some form since I was 11. When I was 15 my parents helped me incorporate. I started out using C++, and then slipped into HTML and the web-based side of things. From there I learned PHP, then Javascript and CSS. In that period I started on my now-popular WebDDM menu project. I've also written a lot in C, Java, and LISP (all for personal projects so far).
My development environment consists of an iBook G4 and iMac G5, on which I mainly use Vim (text editor) and MacVIM to write code. More recently I've been writing a lot of PHP, CSS1/2, JavaScript and XHTML for some web sites.

I currently play violin, piano, accordion, and I enjoy singing whenever I can.
My musical styles vary quite widely. I'm interested in contributing to anything I come across, really, especially if it's dealing with anything else on this page (see above interests listed). So far, I've contributed mainly to cultural articles and those relating to the Bible and religion. Some that I've worked a lot with:

- Golden Toad - Although the article already existed, it was very short and incorrect in some areas. I rewrote it.
