Jorge Koechlin

Jorge Koechlin von Stein (born February 2, 1950) is a Peruvian former racing driver and magazine publisher from Lima.
Koechlin began racing professionally in European Formula Renault in 1975, then made starts in various Formula Three series in 1977 with little success. In 1982, he was one of only 10 competitors in the struggling British Formula One Series, also known as Formula Aurora and finished tied for 4th in points for his own Team Peru that fielded a retired Williams FW07. The following year he was named to an entry for the Indianapolis 500 but the car never appeared. He later returned to make one CART Championship Car start at Laguna Seca but was knocked out by a broken gearbox after qualifying 26th.
He later began publishing Automundo which would become one of the most successful Spanish language motorsports magazines in the United States.[1]
