Hello Jon,
You might want to take a look at WP:INDIC for information on Indic texts. Under the section "Inputting Indic Text", it tells you how to go about adding texts for different languages (on different OSes). This is probably what you want to look at. Otherwise, you can go to the specific language page and look up the unicode values for the specific characters you wish to input. The latter method is more cumbersome, so you probably want to look at the information in WP:INDIC. Hope this helps you! If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask. [edit] Battle at Princeton
Hello - I haven't found an image of the original work by John Trumbull, although there is a large collection of Trumbull's work at the Yale University Art Gallery. The image that is found everywhere appears to be in the New York Public Library and is an engraving of Trumbull's work by John Rogers. The title of the painting/engraving is "Battle at Princeton". Hi, It is a well known fact that the Calcutta "riots" were started by "Direct Action" of Suharwardy. Concelling this fact, and 'secularising' this disaster by throwing the allegation at 'all' communities is something absurd and unjustifiable like Holocaust Denial. It is not going to help anyone (not even your muslim "brothers"). Hey Ram was an incrediblly daring and to-the-point thing, an extremly rare piece of work in our shamelessly secular society. The least we can do is to tell world what this movie meant. (Such films are not made everyday because of censor.)However if your POV is too dear to you you can keep it your way. You can even put 100% blame on the hindus, if you think that will bring communal harmony.

Hi Jon, uploading your own pic for use on your userpage is fine, as long as it is copyright-free and you're happy that other people can take or alter the image. It's an explicit exception to the general rule that images must be "encyclopedic"
Upload your pic at Commons, the central library for all Wikimedia projects, and put "[[Category:Wikipedians]]" at the bottom. You can call the pic into your userpage in exactly the same way as before, and it'll be good practice for any more encyclopedic pics you want to upload. Hi, this is in reply to your query about Nihang and Akali. The Akali word when used in the form of an adjective refers to somebody/something that is "pertaining to Akaal or the supreme power" or in simple words "Divine". In the form of a Noun it refers to somebody who is:-
- An admirer and follower of Akaal ie. the admirer and follower of Supreme Power.
- Khalsa of waheguru.
- this word is also used for Nihangs
Some of the qualities of an Akali human are that the person should be:-
- Admirer and follower of the "Supreme Power" and its laws.
- Though present in the material world, is unique and is not attached too much to that material world.
- Earns his/her bread by hard work and considers begging as "haraam" (highly illegitimate).
- Considers happiness/good-times and sorrow/bad-times as both the same under the divine law and part of day to day life. (Particularly, this is in reference to Guru Nanak's philosophy in AGGS where he mentions that "dukh" and "sukh" both have to be faced in this world and asking for only "sukhs" from the Supreme Power is a futile effort and is bound to be rejected.)
- A person who selflessly works for social cause and protects the Gurdwara's and is always conscious and ready for the struggle for the righteous cause.
- A person who does not perform the "pooja" of any other "devi" or "devs" but is only the follower and believer of "One Supreme" Akaal and abides by the tenth Sikh guru Gobind Singh
There is a subtle difference between the usage of the words Nihung and Akali. Nihung word in common day to day language has become synonymous with all the people who are born in the Nihung familes. However, the acts of such a person may disqualify him/her from being called an Akali. Similarly, in common day to day language the people of Punjab and neighboring states have begun to call the politicians of the "Akali Dal" political party as "Akali's", however in literary sense they should not be called so.
