In 1994, the company started providing a sports bulletin feed to UK Radio stations with the establishment of The Sportsmedia Bulletin Network. It has covered every UEFA European Football Championship since 1996, Wimbledon tennis since 1994 and golf's Open Championship since 1995. Between 2000 and 2003, the company created audio content for Sporting Life, Freeserve, Tiscali and RealPlayer and live streamed broadcasting to Sporting Life and Tote Bookmakers. It also developed a premium rate telephone service. In 2006, the company moved to new offices which were officially opened by Sir Geoff Hurst and Kenny Dalglish. The company's latest service was launched to coincide with the start of the 2006/7 football season, providing podcasts at www.footballaudio.com .

In 2007, Sportsmedia launched into the provision of finance news. Sister company, Businessmedia currently provides bulletins entiled On The Money and Money Talks to FM, AM and DAB stations across the UK.

In 2008, acknowledging the boom in blogging, Jonny set up www.jonnygould.com, writing opinion pieces on football to accompany his appearances as newspaper reviewer at Sky News.

In 1995, Gould joined Talk Radio as morning sports presenter. He has won two New York Radio Awards with co-presenters Paul Ross and Carol McGiffin in the category of best breakfast show, and a silver medal in the 1999 Sony Radio Awards in the same category with co-presenters Kirsty Young and Bill Overton.

He moved into TV with ITV (Football First), Channel 4 (Football Italia) and Channel Five (5News). In 2001, Gould became the first touchline reporter on the new Premiership Plus football channel.
