Jon English (born 26 March 1949 in Hampstead, London, England) is a rock singer, musician, actor, and comedian in Australia. He emigrated to Australia with his parents in 1961.

In the 1970s, English was a noted rock singer, and had hits including "Get Your Love Right". His first album was called Wine Dark Sea.

He has become a noted theatre and stage performer and writer, his writing credits including the musical Paris, about the mythology of the Trojan War. According to English, the concept for the original began in a 1982 prank: he wrote a song called "Oh, Paris", about the mythic hero rather than the French capital, just to see how many people actually listened to the lyrics.

In 1995, a portrait of Jon English by artist Danelle Bergstrom won the Packing Room award in the Archibald Prize.
