Johnb316 (talk) 21:52, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Hello. Please read, and discuss any changes on, the talk page: Talk:Jack_Graham_(pastor) Thanks! PaulShanks talk 03:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- I noticed that you are involved to a lesser degree in the constant edit warring on this page. I have sent a kind email to both main parties involved asking them to stop and just stick to the referenced bio page which I think is completely fair. If someone can provide more details references that obviously i would not refute that but this he said...she said business is getting out of hand and does not belong on wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnb316 (talk • contribs) 04:37, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

- I agree that the warring should stop. The only way to do that is to discuss what to change, before we make the changes. Thanks PaulShanks talk 13:34, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Johnb316, thank you for you note. What statements could you possibly find distasteful or harmful to Pastor Graham???? And why do you have an issue with stating the absolutely true and relevant fact that Dr. Graham lives in an upscale home? This is an encyclopedia, not a place to place official public relation bios. Please help me to understand your position. By the way, I'm a member of Prestonwood, and am for Dr. Graham as well. Oh, and, my comments about his neighborhood are cited. I don't believe I've made any additions which aren't cited.Doublet89 (talk) 13:38, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Johnb316, in the history of your recent change, you said: "Whether you agree with this statement or not or find it subjective is not the point of wiki. This statement is in a published bio and sourced and therefore cannot be disputed." This was referring to the part of the article I deleted which said "and powerful preaching style", from this sentence "at Prestonwood, he quickly shared his vision for expanding outreach and the congregation responded enthusiastically to his straightforward message and powerful preaching style."
- I agree that whether I agree with the statement or not is irrelevant, and I have not stated my opinion on this. What I have said, is that this is a subjective opinion. Subjective opinions, when published elsewhere, do not become facts. However, they can become relevant material for the wiki, if sourced properly. i.e., if you made the statement "Dr. Graham's bio says that he has a powerful preaching style" or "Dr. Graham believes he has a powerful preaching style" and cited those statement with his personal PR bio at Prestonwood, then that would be appropriate. But when you say in the article that he has a powerful preaching style, that is not a fact, and backing up the statement with Jack's PR bio at Prestonwood does not make it a fact. I'm placing this information in the discussion section of the page as well.Doublet89 (talk) 13:59, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Wow i'm gone a day and a half and this thing heats up haha. I will respect your wish, johnb, and refrain for awhile as I am getting tired of messing with these people. Please take my advice though that you can't reason with these people as your appear to be trying to do...there is a serious agenda here it appearsDirkmavs (talk) 17:44, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Prestonwood Baptist Edits
Thanks. I'm in real danger of violating 3RR. I've reverted similar content twice. The 2nd time didn't count due to WP:BIO/WP:V but if I revert the current edit and it gets put back, I'll have to make sure I allow sufficient time before reverting again. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 19:25, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jack Graham (pastor). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. seicer | talk | contribs 01:10, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
