[edit] Talking to each other

LOL! Ahh, revenge is sweet... :) Anyway, the Pepper song has been reviewed (as you well know, because I saw your very stream-lined and professional edits on the references - very impressive) but I think we have a compromise. The reviewer thinks that the Mal debate (between us, of course) is "dispiriting", which "hits the nail on the head", IMO.
OK, here we go: Evan's claim could be in a seperate section, as it is "dispiriting" (which is true, in the bigger picture) but it will be hard to split the story. What say you, Sir John? (Ouch! :) --Mr. Robust, seed-eating bird, with strong bill (talk) 07:07, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the note, and sorry about the sniping that was here. I responded on the talk page, but left something here so you'd know to look there. John Cardinal (talk) 13:49, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rain (The Beatles song)

As "Rain" is the B-side, I changed the infobox to infobox_song. see note in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_Single : "For non-single songs or B-sides, see Template:Infobox Song" (E-Kartoffel (talk) 13:23, 16 December 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Cat:Cat:Xmas Numero Uno's

Gone. (At last, a request of my admin "powers" by you that I was able to fulfil). Merry Christmas. LessHeard vanU (talk) 21:27, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sgt. Pepper

Message to John: It would be wonderful if you cleaned the problems on the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (song) and put it up for GA again, so it can join this. It's soooo close, is it not? Please do it (said in a nice way :) I'm busy on the Lennon article, which has more problems than I thought. --andreasegde (talk) 23:44, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

I think you should do it, John. Your edit ideas for the Mal things were really good (and you did them) so I think you should "bust your cherry" by doing it. Take it home to GA. I really hope you do, and then you can add it to this. It's a wonderful feeling, believe me. (I can help anytime you want, if you want). To be really honest, it would be nice to have two editors that can take an article through the mill of a GA and then achieve it, which would be you and me... :)) --andreasegde (talk) 01:09, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] References

This is weird, because I was seriously thinking of asking you to help me with that about 2 hours ago! I went through the refs three times, and I was getting seriously pi*#ed off with it... :)) --andreasegde (talk) 15:21, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Typo

Thanks for that John. I missed that it was a quote. No, not automated. My mistakes are all my own work. :-)

[edit] Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da

I just added an Infobox and Image for The Marmalade version and noticed that your oploaded Image:BeatlesObLaDiObLaDaJulia.png had no fair use media rationale box. I don't think we want the terrorists to remove it. Cheers. -Lastcent (talk) 01:32, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Paperback Writer

No, I didn't change all of the dates. I changed one, but I reworded it so that it is neither (click the link to see the current version). Hope there won't be a problem. I was just going to write on the talk page that I will be working substantially on this article as I did to Rain, and that if anyone wanted to leave me comments, feel free. Well, you've really helped yourself. :) Thanks anyway for the info. Have a great day! Kodster (Talk) 02:15, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh, by the way, I make a lot of "experimental" tests, with "experimental" meaning I do it, look at it, and then see if it's okay. I know there is a preview, but I find it better with the REAL article. So, don't hastily say this or that. I'll probably change it within the next minute or so. Just wanted to let you know. :) Have a great day on Wikipedia! Kodster (Talk) 02:15, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Is the album cover for Paperback Writer the US version or the UK version? I asked the man with the multicolored mirrors on his hobnail boots, and he told me to ask you. As such...do you know? Thanks. Bye. Kodster (Talk) 00:43, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
I must have had a brain blip. I thought a DIFF I did on recent changes showed US-style dates, but now it doesn't look that way. Sorry about that.
I have a book that shows US single covers, but it's at home and I'm not. If the issue is still open when I get home I'll take a look. John Cardinal (talk) 03:01, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Speaking of "Rain", my brain blip might have been thinking that the dates were changed on "Paperback Writer" when it was actually "Rain". See this change. John Cardinal (talk) 12:38, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I Should Have Known Better

Hi John. I wonder if you’re in a position to just take a look at "I Should Have Known Better" as there is a dispute developing. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, --Patthedog (talk) 09:51, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

John, you’re probably away (I’ve just worked it out!) so, I’ll move this on.--Patthedog (talk) 19:53, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks John. There is little doubt (in me anyway, as I remember it in real time!) that the Beatles - John & George in particular - were very impressed by Dylan. But how to illustrate this point without over-blowing it is tricky. Obviously, Paulito is quite entitled to question it - but must do that on the articles discussion page. As usual, any help is appreciated.--Patthedog (talk) 07:55, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
