John William Standeford (born April 15, 1982 in Monrovia, Indiana) is an American football wide receiver for the Detroit Lions of the NFL.
John Standeford started his football career at Monrovia High School in Monrovia, Indiana. Standeford also was an Indiana All-Star in basketball. After high school, he attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he left as the Big Ten all-time career receptions leader and career yards. He played along with current New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees. He majored in Elementary Education and did his student teaching at Attica High School in Attica, Indiana. His brother, Jake, is currently a wide receiver at Purdue.
