The John Radcliffe Hospital is a large tertiary teaching hospital in Oxford, England.

It is the main teaching hospital for Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University. As such, it is a well developed centre of medical research. It also incorporates the Medical School of the University of Oxford. It is part of Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust. It was named after John Radcliffe, an 18th-century physician associated with Oxford.

The initial hospital building ("JR1"), opened in 1972, accommodates only women's services and neonatology. A second, much larger building ("JR2") opened in 1979, containing most other specialist services for the region, the remainder being located at the Churchill Hospital. With the closure of the Radcliffe Infirmary and consolidation of hospital sites in Oxford, a further large expansion involving the construction of a new children's hospital, neurosciences/head and neck, Ear Nose & Throat and eye hospital all within a new west wing was undertaken by Carillion[1] and completed in December 2006. Other facilities already on the site include the University of Oxford's Centre for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain fMRI[2].

The distinctive large white-tiled building occupies a prominent position overlooking Oxford from Headington Hill with correspondingly sweeping views over Oxford and Oxfordshire.
