John Mendelsohn, American drummer and rock critic of Rolling Stone magazine. He joined the band Halfnelson in 1969 until 1971, when he and fellow band member Surly Ralph Oswald (bass guitar) quit and formed the band Christopher Milk, and later on he formed The Pitt.
