John Conlee
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
John Conlee (born August 11, 1946 in Versailles, Kentucky) is an American country music singer. His hits, spanning from 1978 through late 1987, include "Rose Colored Glasses," "Friday Night Blues," "As Long As I'm Rockin' With You," "Way Back," "Miss Emily's Picture," "I'm Only In it For the Love," "The Carpenter," "Lady Lay Down," "Domestic Life," "I Don't Remember Loving You," "The Old School," "Common Man," "Back Side of Thirty," "Busted," and others.
During Conlee's performance of the song "Busted," fans often take dollar bills to the stage. Conlee collects that money in a bucket and gives it to Feed the Children.
"Rose Colored Glasses," the title of Conlee's first major hit, also became his trademark. On stage and during television appearances, Conlee wore just that: rose colored glasses.
