Jinshan District, located in the southwest of Shanghai, is one of the biggest districts of the city. It has nine towns, one street and industrial estate. About 6.2 kilometers off the coast of Jinshan, there lie the three islands--the Da Jinshan (the Big Golden Mountain), the Xiao Jinshan (the Small Golden Mountain), and the Fu Shan (the Floating Mountain). The three islands are the only places of Shanghai that have not been interrupted by human beings.
