Jim Heacock is the defensive coordinator of the Ohio State University football team. He has held this position since 2001 and began his time at Ohio State in 1996 as the team's defensive line coach.
Prior to coming to Ohio State, Heacock was the head football coach at Illinois State University for eight seasons, from 1988 until 1995. His overall coaching record at ISU was 37-49-2.[1] He also served as a coach and coordinator at the University of Washington, Bowling Green State University and Muskingum College.
