Jim Conti is the main secondary vocalist and tenor sax player for the band Streetlight Manifesto. Conti joined up with Streetlight shortly after the release of their demo CD, and has played with them through three album releases: Everything Goes Numb, Keasbey Nights, and Somewhere in the Between. Although his main instrument is tenor sax, he frequently doubles on alto sax. He's also been known to play bari sax from time to time, but only on very special occasions at live shows.[1] He also played clarinet on the track Here's To Life on Everything Goes Numb. Conti displays a very wide vocal range, hitting up to an E5 without going into the falsetto range on Watch it Crash and singing lower than Tomas on a few tracks, as well. Conti went to high school at Carteret High School, and attended Rutgers University.

On multiple occasions Conti has had to leave a tour with Streetlight, be it due to injury or personal problems. During their first European tour, he ended up leaving in the middle of the tour for personal reasons. This led to Streetlight having a two piece horn section, rather than a four piece, for a majority of that tour, and only having one show with a their full section as Delano Bonner was having trouble obtaining a visa.[2] Then, during their 41 Days and 41 Nights of Tour tour with Zox and Dan Potthast, Conti was injured during a show in Pensacola, FL when a fan jumped on stage during their set and knocked a microphone stand into his sax and his sax into his gums. This injury ended up getting infected and eventually became so bad that Conti had to leave the tour. As soon as he arrived at the hospital he was put on morphine and stayed at the hospital to receive surgery to drain the abscess and remove a tooth.[3]This time, however, Streetlight managed to conjur up somebody to fill in for Conti while he was unable to play. A statement from Streetlight on their website clarified that Conti's sub was Adam Jackson, the sound engineer for Zox.[4] On May third Conti returned to the tour to contribute backing vocals while leaving Jackson on sax, presumably because his mouth hadn't healed well enough to play sax yet. That same day, he ended up singing with Tomas during his acoustic set at Bamboozle for two songs: one was planned, the other one was because Tomas couldn't remember the lyrics.[5] He remained with the band for the rest of the tour on backing vocals.
