Jidou is an international animation house from Hong Kong. Formed in 2001 by Alexander S. W. Wong as an innovative design and multi-disciplinary office, the company conducts research and executes projects in the realm of what is now known as the post-knowledge economy including digital entertainment. In less than 5 years, Jidou has successfully established its first animation brand Jidousports in the market through powerful distribution channels including mobile and web, TV animation Jidougames, licensing, edutainment and mall & charity events. Apart from its first TV broadcast in Hong Kong in 2006, Jidou's animation series have so far been sold to Japan, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, The Philippines and Indonesia, etc.
Besides being selected by Hong Kong Trade Development Council to showcase Jidougames in 2005, 2006 and 2007 at MIPCOM under the HKTDC’s Hong Kong Pavilion at Cannes in France, Jidou was also invited by the United States Commercial Service department to participate in ImaginAsian 3, an exclusive senior executive level trade development mission to the US. In addition, Jidou has displayed their works of digital entertainment at numerous local and international fairs including Hong Kong Filmart 2003 and 2006; Sportel 2005 in Monte Carlo; Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2005 in Los Angeles; New York Licensing Show 2004; Hong Kong Comic Festival 2003 and Hong Kong Licensing Show 2005 and 2006, etc.
In November 2006, Jidou has won the HKICT Awards: Digital Entertainment (Digital Animation) Feature Film Gold Award for Jidougames.
