Jessica Elizabeth Morden (born May 29, 1968) is the Labour MP for Newport East. She was elected in the 2005 general election, replacing Alan Howarth.

Brought up in nearby Cwmbran and educated at Croesyceiliog School before reading History at Birmingham University.

Jessica Morden was elected as the first female MP in South East Wales with a 6,800 majority. She previously worked for two local MPs (Llew Smith, Blaenau Gwent and Huw Edwards, Monmouth) and prior to her election as MP she was General Secretary of the Wales Labour Party.
