Jerry Lambert (born August 8, 1957) is an American actor and playwright best known for his work on the ABC sitcom, Sons and Daughters, and commercials for products including GEICO and Cheese Nips. Born in Shelton and raised in Montesano, Washington Lambert graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Lambert is also trained in improvisational and sketch comedy, and has performed at The Improv, The Comedy Store, Stand-Up New York and The Acme Theatre.
In the GEICO ads, he played the stereotyped, extremely bland insurance salesman. One ad had him reading "insurance fairy tales" to some very bored-looking kids.
As of the fall of 2007, he is appearing in a series of Holiday Inn TV ads, as a character who is both annoying and clueless. One ad features recently-elected Baseball Hall of Fame member Cal Ripken, and Lambert's character has never heard of Ripken.
