Jeremy Paul Wright (born October 24, 1972) is a British Conservative Party politician, and current Member of Parliament for the constituency of Rugby & Kenilworth.
He was first elected at the 2005 general election, when he won the seat from Andy King, the Labour MP since 1997.

[edit] Early life
Born in Taunton, Wright's parents were both teachers and both his brother and sister-in-law are Lieutenant Commanders in the Royal Navy. He was educated at Taunton School, Trinity School (New York City), the University of Exeter and the Inns of Court School of Law. He completed an internship for a US politician after university in 1994. He was called to the Bar in 1996 and since then has specialised in Criminal Law, both prosecution and defence, practising in the West Midlands area.
[edit] Parliamentary career
Before being selected as the candidate in Rugby and Kenilworth, Wright was the youngest ever Chairman of Warwick and Leamington Conservative Association. He currently serves on the Constitutional Affairs Select Committee. He won his seat at his first attempt at standing as an MP. Wright has since been selected as the candidate for Kenilworth and Southam at the next United Kingdom general election, one of the successor seats to his current Rugby & Kenilworth constituency which is set to be abolished.

He is married to the former Yvonne Salter (a 1997 graduate of the Catholic University of America), Head of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Warwick. They have a daughter, Stephanie, who was born in May 2005.
