Hello Jeffreyneave,
You mentioned in your Top 4 tournament post that you have created world rankings (placing Sedgman 1st and Segura 6th in 1958). Could you share with us your detailed rankings for the other years as weel, preferebly with some comments, as I have done between 1877 and 1923?

[edit] Pennsylvania 1960, Brisbane Hard Courts 1961 and Belfast 1965
Hello jeffreyneave.
Are you sure that Rocket has won "Brisbane Hard Courts" in 1961 (in 1962 against Ken Fletcher 86 63 ok) ? I've never seen it anywhere. Do you have any details : source, date, runner-up, score ? I just know that Hewitt defeated Laver 64 62 57 63 in the final of Rockdale national hard court on october 22, 1961.
Same questions for Belfast 1965 (4-man tournament) ?
Idem for Pennsylvania 1960 ?
Thank you for the answers. Carlo Colussi 10:11, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Incivility
Hi there. I'll make this short so as to not waste a lot of your time.
I feel it's time that I step in between you and User:Tennis expert's constant bickering. Please read WP:CIVIL and make sure you understand it fully; I don't want to be seeing comments like this, this, or this. They're unacceptable, and, frankly, other administrators would've blocked you by now. I won't take action, but I'll leave you with a final warning; start acting civilly or you'll be forced to take a three day break. Also, you may not use IP addresses as proxies/sockpuppets to push your point of view; if you intend on debating a point, don't hide behind other addresses, be nice, and be constructive.
If you have any questions, you're welcome to ask at my talk page. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 05:02, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- The thing is that your behavior is inexcusable, no matter what; you should not be acting uncivilly in any case. As for offenses that Tennis Expert has committed, I don't know anything about that, so if you'd like to complain collect some diffs which show him acting wrongly then that would be good. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 03:02, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
I hate to have to do this, but you're not learning. I've blocked you for 72 hours; after the block is over, you're welcome to come back and be civil. If you aren't, the block will be extended. Also, please don't try to evade your block by using your IP addresses; they'll be blocked indefinitely if you do. Thank you, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 17:20, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
bad behaviour by masters of puppet: acting like a dictator is unacceptable and you desrves to be told off
Who do you think you are. you're the one not learning . you acting as bisased prosecutor for tennis expert. you refused to review evidenve and have made no effort whatsoever. you're suppose to read rodlaver, tennis statistics and jimmy connors for the last 6 months. As far as i'm concerned you deserve to be insulted . you behaviour is unacceptable. as far as l'm concerned wiki rules should not be invoked to protect bad behaviour and that's what your doing. you failed in your duty and have no right whatsoever to criticise when you don't do your job. ie read the evidence against tennis expert. i will not be shut by silly rules invoked by you to protect yourself from critcism. you fail to addrees any criticisms of youself and your behaviour; inciting wiki rules is unacceptable. proper behaviour is what counts and if you fail you will get told off, whatevever wiki rules. caling you a dictator is an accutrate description of your behaviour. your suppose to act like a proper judge and you have failed to do so. so look to your own behaviour before avoiding the issues by citing wiki rukes. don't expect any fancy blue things from me; i'm handicapped and can only type sentenances; i use my keyboard like a type writer and nothing else

- I'm really tired of the constant accusations with no evidence. If you'd like to document areas where you feel you've been mistreated, you're more than welcome to read this and present a case. However, if you don't want to, then please halt the accusations and insults right now. I don't want to block you again because I really hate using that feature; however, you have to understand that it's really hard to be nice to people who are antagonizing me. Please, don't bite the hand that's guiding you.
- That being said, if you need any help, feel free to ask. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 03:52, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- You may find that WP:WAI and WP:K are helpful in working WP with just the keyboard. You won't find many editors who think they can get things done by ignoring the rules. Experience teaches otherwise. But the basic ones are pretty simple: play nice together and say where the evidence is. Details of format can be sorted out by anybody anytime, they aren't worth arguing over. You've been here long enough to know all this, but a reminder can't hurt.LeadSongDog (talk) 20:21, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hello Jeffrey. You know that I don't approve the violence you use to contest Tennis Expert manners but nevertheless in the substance I understand your opposition because I don't like Tennis Expert behaviour too : see mister Fyunck(click) answer and mine in the section "What, people just edit huge chunks without discussion?" in Talk:World number one male tennis player rankings following the edit of "18:03, 30 April 2008" by Tennis Expert in the article. Happily mister Fyunck(click), that I thanked, restored the old version (some changes have been done later). Carlo Colussi (talk) 07:46, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

I counted the jan 1983 match at chicago tournament of champions(played indoors) as part of the 1982 season as it was played before the 1983 jan masters, which is regared as part of the 1982 season. you have 2 extra matches : the oregon challenge of 1982 and south korean challenge of 1983. otherwise my list matches yours. You will have noticed that some people wish to erase borg's 1982 performances from the record . As fas as l'm concerned inspecial tournament he played well and had no bad losses; so he is a legit player.
connors beat borg 6-4, 5-7 ,6-3 at caracas october 1976
Tennus expert is acting like a pain in the neck again. Date ranges are preferable and self explanatory. the man is so petty and full of himself its beyond a joke. You should change the date to finish of the event like the french version if you can't do the date range. Laver often played more than 2 events in a week like his wins at bretton woods and canadian open in the week of 10-16 aug 1970

- Hello Jeffrey,
-
Thank you for the info. I've changed a little the list above given your new result and the Seoul date given by Andrew.
About the Laver dates I won't change them now because I want to concentrate on other players (in those days I'm looking at the summer British tournaments of 1906 : then I will change a little Wilding's wins). If someone else want to replace the start dates by the ending ones he can do it. At last since my intervention a few days ago, Laver's titles and his yearly wins numbers are listed which was the main goal. Thus now any improvement can be done by everyone who has time and want to do it. Carlo Colussi (talk) 12:11, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
